Golf Team Wins Dual Match With Va. Wesleyan, 314-342

SUFFOLK, VA. – The Apprentice School golf team hosted Virginia Wesleyan College in a dual match at Sleepy Hole Golf Course on Friday and came away with a victory shooting a 314 round to a 342 for the Marlins.

Freshman Kyle Mutter earned his first medalist honor on the year for the Builders as he carded a two-over-par-74 on the 6,516 yard layout.  Fellow freshman Ben Hunter was one shot behind with a 75, while senior Daniel Campbell was in a group of three who shot an 80.  Rounding out the scoring was senior Wade Traynham (85) and junior Kyle Radcliff (87).

The Builders also put in a second team and they combined for a 361 round.  Sophomore Michael Hastings was that leader with an 83, followed by freshman Les White (87), freshman Cody Griffith (93) and sophomore Blake Henger (98).

The Apprentice School is now off until April 4-5 when they'll host the Glenn Heath Shipbuilders Memorial Tournament at Fords Colony in Williamsburg.
