SALEM, VA. -- The Apprentice School golf team finished its second round on Sunday at the Roanoke College Invitational with a 329 to take eighth place in the event with a 493 total. The tournament was shortened to 27-holes after a tornado warning late in Saturday's round.
Bluefield State won the event with a 456 two-day total, followed by Bridgewater College (458) and Ferrum College (474). The tournament was held at Hanging Rock Golf Club, par-72, 6.560 yards.
Freshman Kyle Mutter was the low man for the Builders on Sunday with a 77 for a 27-hole total 118 to finish 13th overall. Sophomore Mike Hastings was next with an 82 (129), while freshman Ben Hunter shot an 84 on Sunday for a two-day 120. Senior Daniel Campbell closed out the scoring Builders with an 86 on Sunday for a 130 total.
The Builders will close out their season at the Danville CC Invitational on April 16-17 in Danville, Va.
