Golf Team Ends Season With Dual Match Win At Danville CC

DANVILLE, VA. – The Apprentice School golf team closed out its 2010-11 season on Sunday morning with a dual match against Danville CC at Goodyear Golf Course and the Builders Gold team carded a 322 to win the match.

Each school put in two teams in the match as Danville's A team carded a 349, while the Apprentice Maroon came in with a 364 and Danville's B team shot 397 over the par-71, 6,566 yard course.

Freshman Ben Hunter won the medalist honor for Sunday's match finishing with a three-over-par 75 to lead Apprentice Gold.  Seniors Wade Traynham (80) and Daniel Campbell (83) finished second and third respectively.  Sophomore Michael Hastings was fourth with an 84 to close out the gold team scoring with a 322.

Freshman Les White was the low man for Apprentice Maroon with an 88, followed by junior Kyle Radcliff with an 89 to lead a 364 round.
