STATE COLLEGE, PA. -- The 2011 fall golf season for the Apprentice School ended on Tuesday with a second straight round of 316 to move up a slot to third place at the 2011 USCAA Golf Nationals at the Penn State University Blue Course.

Lindenwood-Belleville ended the two-year run of Rochester College by taking the team title with a six-over-par 294 on Tuesday ending the event at 597.  Rochester was second as they shot a 316 on Tuesday for a two-day 618.  The Builders put a pair of 316 rounds on the board to finish at 632 and in third place as 15 teams competed in the championships.

Sophomore Ben Hunter finished the event alone in third place at four-over-par-148 following a second round 75 to earn his second USCAA All-American honor.  He was the low man for the Builders on Tuesday.  Hunter is the first two-time USCAA All-American for the Builders since current assistant coach B.J. Maben won three honors from 2005-07.

Freshman Kyle Mutter shot a four-over-par 76 on Tuesday to finish in a five-way tie for fifth place at six-over-par 150 to earn his first USCAA All-American honor. This makes 13 golfers named USCAA All-American since 2003 for the Apprentice School.

Senior Kyle Radcliff rebounded from a first-round 87 to card a 78 on Tuesday ending at 165 to tie for 31st in the 100-player event.   Sophomore Will Smith (87) rounded out the Builder scorers as he finished at 169 and tied for 44th place.
