Apprentice School Receives Holiday Gift From Kuwait

Back in September, the Apprentice School helped coordinate a delivery of nearly 9,000 golf balls to Kuwait after a request was made from U.S. Army Specialist Louis Adams to his mother Sandra Wilkins (E39) for golf balls to help troops with some leisure time activities overseas.

At the Apprentice School Athletic Department Christmas Luncheon on Tuesday, a special presentation was made to the school from Adams in thanks for the large donation of golf balls.  He presented a United States flag that was flown in Kuwait to Everett Jordan, Director of The Apprentice School, and Keisha Pexton, Apprentice School Athletic Director.

Adams, who surprised his mother on Sunday by showing up on her doorstep for a two week holiday visit, was given a standing ovation from the crowd in gratitude for his service overseas to the United States.
