MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Apprentice School golf team opened its 2012 spring season by coming in second place at the Myrtle Beach Bash held Saturday at Myrtle Beach National-South Creek Golf Course.
The Builders shot a 318 to finish behind Cape Fear Community College with a 296. Louisburg College A team was third with a 328, followed by Louisburg College B (357) and Apprentice School Maroon (367).
Sophomore Kyle Mutter was the low man for the day for the Builders with a 75, followed by sophomore Ben Hunter with a 76 and freshman Eric Johnston coming in with an 80 over the par-72, 6,416-yard course.
The team will finish its swing in Myrtle Beach on Sunday with the second Myrtle Beach Bash held at Burning Ridge Golf Club.
