Golf Team Sits Third After Day One Of Lynchburg Invitational

FOREST, VA. – The Apprentice School golf team currently sits in third place after day one of the Lynchburg Invitational carding a 339 over the 6,938-yard, par-72 London Downs Golf Course.

Sophomore Ben Hunter leads the tournament by one stroke with a one-over-par 73 as he leads Brock Cox of Ferrum who shot a 74 in the medalist race.  Ferrum College leads the tournament with a 329, followed by Lynchburg (333), Apprentice School and then Virginia Wesleyan College (340).

Kyle Mutter is next in line for the Builders with an 84, followed by Eric Johnston (90) and Curtis Newsome (92).  The final round of the tournament starts at 10 am on Monday.
