Golf Team Wins Virginia Wesleyan Dual At Sleepy Hole

SUFFOLK, VA. -- The Apprentice School golf team won a dual match on Friday against Virginia Wesleyan College at Sleepy Hole Golf Course in Suffolk.  Apprentice School Maroon carded a 309, while Virginia Wesleyan recorded a 324 and Apprentice School Gold had a 361 over the 6,600-yard, par-72 course.

Sophomore Ben Hunter just missed his third straight medalist honor as he was second overall with a two-over-par 74.  He was one stroke behind Adam Saul of Virginia Wesleyan with a 73.  Sophomore Kyle Mutter was next in line at 77, followed by Eric Johnston (78) and Mitch Green of VWC (79).  Leading Apprentice School Gold was the tandem of Blake Henger and Cody Griffith each with 89.

Next up for the Builders will be the Spring Fling on Friday, March 23 at The Hamptons in Hampton.
