Golf Team Tied For Seventh At Tom Kinder Memorial

HARRISONBURG, VA – The Apprentice School golf team shot a 306 total on Sunday to sit in a four-way tie for seventh place in the Tom Kinder Memorial hosted by Bridgewater College at Lakeview Golf Course.

Junior Ben Hunter and sophomore Kyle Mutter are in a six-way tie for sixth individually with an even-par round of 71 over the 6,500-yard course.  Freshman Harrison Baker and Michael Hastings recovered after struggling on the front nine holes to come in at 81 and 83 respectively to close out the Builders 306 total.

Washington & Lee University leads the event at one-over-par 285, followed by Milligan College (289), the host Bridgewater College (293), Hampden-Sydney College (301) , Stevenson University (303) and Randolph-Macon College (305).  Joining the Builders in seventh are Christopher Newport University, Maryville College and Ferrum College.

The tournament will conclude on Monday with the second round starting at 8:30 am.
