Apprentice School Weekend Preview - UPDATED WITH BASEBALL CHANGE

BASEBALL CHANGES SATURDAY DOUBLEHEADER TO THOMAS NELSON CC

A schedule change for the baseball team this weekend as the scheduled doubleheader with Southern Tech Academy has been changed to a doubleheader with Thomas Nelson CC.  

First-pitch with Thomas Nelson for game one will be at noon at War Memorial Stadium.

 

WRESTLING HITS LYNCHBURG FOR NCWA MID-ATLANTIC CONFERENCE

The Apprentice School wrestling team will compete this weekend in the National Collegiate Wrestling Association Mid-Atlantic Conference Championships held in Lynchburg at Liberty University.

Last year the Builders finished second in the conference and had a pair of conference champions among the qualifiers for the NCWA Nationals.  Finishing in the top six in a weight class will qualify for the nationals this year.

 

GOLF COACH TO APPEAR ON NEWPORT NEWS SPORTS HIGHLIGHTS

Apprentice School golf coach Joey Maben is a guest this month on Sports Highlights airing on Newport News Public Schools Television throughout the month of March.

The show will air on Saturdays and Sundays at 9 am.  It will also air on Mondays at 7 am, 2 pm and 7 pm.  You will be able to watch it, on television in Newport News, on Cox Cable Ch. 47 and Verizon Fios Ch. 17.  For those not living in Newport News, you can watch it online at www.nnpstv.com.

 

GOLF TEAM OPENS SPRING SLATE IN MYRTLE BEACH

The Apprentice School golf team opens its spring slate on Saturday with the first of two Builder Spring Fling matches in Myrtle Beach, S.C. against Louisburg College.

 Both matches will start at 9 am on different courses in Myrtle Beach, S.C.  Juniors Ben Hunter (74.45) and Kyle Mutter (75.64) lead the Builders who averaged 316 through 11 fall tournament rounds.
