Golf Team Ends Third At Lynchburg Invitational

FOREST, VA. – The Apprentice School golf team struggled on Monday carding a 354 in the final round of the Lynchburg Invitational to finish third in the event held at London Downs Golf Course.

Junior Ben Hunter was the low man on Monday carding an 80 to finish the event at 165.  Blake Henger and Eric Johnston were next with 91 each while Kyle Mutter carded a 92 for the 354 total.  Mutter was second overall for the Builders with a 170, followed by Johnston (174), Cody Griffith (187) and Henger (197).

Lynchburg College won the event with a 341 round on Monday to end with 674.  Eastern Mennonite jumped to second as they shot 335 on Monday for a 675 total.  Marymount was fourth after a 340 on Monday for a 689 two-day total.

The Builders will now go to West Chester, PA next weekend to participate for the first time in the Immaculata Spring Invitational.
