Golfers Sit Tied For Sixth After Round One At Hampden-Sydney Invitational

IN BRIEF: Ben Hunter was low man for the Builders with a one-over-par-73 as the Apprentice School carded a 335 round in day one of the Hampden-Sydney Invitational at The Manor Golf Course in Farmville on Monday.  He is tied for fourth individually, four shots off the leader from Ferrum College.

Starting on the back nine, Hunter opened double bogey/bogey and ended his first nine at two-over-par (38).  He responded on the second nine with birdies on holes #6 and #7 to bring it in at one-under-par (35).

Eric Johnston is next in line for the Builders at 81 (T23), while Kyle Mutter is next with an 82 (27th).  The Builders are tied for sixth place with Lynchburg College at 335.
