First Round Results

IN BRIEF: The Apprentice School golf team started action on Monday in The O'Briant-Jensen Memorial hosted by Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C. and shot a team round of 340 to sit in 17th place after day one.

Junior Kyle Mutter is the low man for the Builders after carding an 81 to sit in a tie for 62nd place in the 95-person, 17-team event.  Senior Ben Hunter came in with an 85 to sit tied for 84thEric Johnston and Jordan Ritz are in a tie for 88th with 87 each for the Builders total of 340.

In a tournament loaded with NCAA Division III-ranked teams, Greensboro College leads the event with a 293.  Following the Pride is Hampden-Sydney (295) and Methodist (297) to round out the top three.  Brandon Grogan of Averett is the medalist after one round with a 67.

ROUND TWO

The final round will start for the Builders with an 8:30 am tee-time on Tuesday.
