IN BRIEF: Fighting through a blustery and chilly Sunday, the golf team shot a 328 round to sit second in the five-team Don Scalf Invitational hosted by N.C. Wesleyan College.
ON THE COURSE:
- The Builders opened play in the Don Scalf Invitational hosted by tournament leader N.C. Wesleyan College on Sunday and combined for a 328 round to sit in second place 22 strokes behind the tournament hosts.
- Kyle Mutter leads the team after day one with a five-over-par 77. Ben Hunter and Eric Johnston were next in line for the Builders with an 80 each.
- Lucas Norman is the overall tournament leader for N.C. Wesleyan with a 74. The Bishops combined for a 306 round. Johnston Community College is third with a 336, followed by William Peace College (377) and Marymount University (406).

The final round will tee off at 9 am on Sunday in Rocky Mount, NC.
