Golfers Sit Fifth After Round One Of Lynchburg Invitational

IN BRIEF:  Playing in its second straight rain-soaked round, the Builders are currently fifth out of nine teams in the Lynchburg College Invitational after a 334 round on Sunday.

ON THE COURSE

  • The Builders returned to the Lynchburg College Invitational on Sunday and currently sit in fifth place with a team total of 334.  SUNY Delhi A team leads the event with a 312 followed by their B team at 313.
  • Senior Ben Hunter is tied for sixth individually after a five-over-par 77 on Sunday.  He is four shots off the medalist lead shared by James Partridge and Chris Braim of SUNY Delhi at 73.
  • Eric Johnston is next in line for the Builders as he's in a tie for 17th place after he carded an 83 on Sunday. 
  • Freshmen Austin Robbins and Russell Fields rounded out the scoring members on Sunday as they're in a tie for 28th place after opening with an 87.


FINAL ROUND

The final round started at 9 am Monday morning on the 6,938-yard, par-72 London Downs Golf Course in Forest, Va.
