Golf Totals 335 In Rainy Opening Round Of Tom Kinder Memorial

The Apprentice School golf team started its round in the annual Tom Kinder Memorial Tournament hosted by Bridgewater College and finished the round with a 335 total.

Senior Kyle Mutter was the low man for the Builders as he came in with a six-over-par 78 on the 6,769 yard, par-72 Mountain Lake 9's course at Lakeview Golf Club.  Freshman Perry Barber was the next lowest for the Builders at ten-over-par 82.  Fellow freshmen Tim Moore (86) and Toby Tapman (89) rounded out the counting scorers for the Builders on Saturday.

Team standings were not complete, but out of the teams that played during the time the Builders were on the course they finished ahead of Eastern Mennonite and Marymount University in the 18-team field.

The final round will start around 8 am on Sunday in Harrisonburg.
