Golf Team Opens Play Today At USCAA Nationals

The Apprentice School golf team opened play this morning in the 2014 United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Championships held at Penn State University in State College, PA.

This marks the seventh straight year the Builders have participated in the event held at the Penn State University Blue Course.  In the previous six years, the Builders have finished no worse than sixth in the event.

The 2014 event will have the most teams participating in the history of the event with 24 schools topped by two-time USCAA National Champion Daemen College.  Joining the list includes perennial powers Rochester College, SUNY Canton and newcomer SUNY Delhi.

The Builders have earned seven USCAA All-American honors in the six years the event has been in State College.  Ben Hunter was a four-time USCAA All-American, while senior Kyle Mutter looks to join him in that category as he has earned three USCAA All-American honors.
