IN BRIEF: The golf team closed out its spring kickoff weekend in Myrtle Beach, SC by finishing second in a four-team event held at The Wizard Golf Club on Sunday.

ON THE COURSE

• The Builders finished off their spring kickoff weekend with a team total of 327 to take second in a four-team event held at The Wizard Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, SC.
• Perry Barber was the low man for the Builders after finishing alone in fourth place with a seven-over-par 78.
• Chris Davis joined him in the top ten overall with a ninth-place finish coming in with an 82, while Tim Moore tied for tenth place with an 83.
• Philip Nelson just missed out on a top ten finish coming in 12th with an 84 to round out the 327 team score.
• Surry CC won the event with a 309 total, while Louisburg College (354) and Central Carolina CC (370) rounded out the field.

The golf team will be off for two weeks before competing in the Lynchburg Invitational held March 22-23 in Forest, Virginia.
