On June 19, the Apprentice Athletic Club sponsored the 10^th annual F. Farrell Sanders Memorial Builder Backer Golf Classic at Cypress Creek Golfers' Club in Smithfield with 30 teams participating in the event.

A team comprised of Wade Traynham, Steve Pabst, Joey Perry and Joseph Evans won the tournament with a 15-under-par score of 57.  Perry clinched the superb score with a 32-foot putt on their last hole to finish at 57.
