Builders Conclude Season at Glenn Heath Memorial Invitational

IN BRIEF: The Builders concluded their 2019 Spring season by hosting the annual Glenn Heath Memorial Invitational. The tournament featured competitive NCAA Division 3 teams from across the state. Randolph Macon took home the victory by compiling a team score of 607. This score was 19 strokes better than 2nd place Shenandoah. The Builders faired well against their quality opponents. The Builders finished with a team score of 341 at the end of the first day. Austin Saylor led the way by shooting a team low 83. Banner Robson shot an 84 and Jordan Plogger shot an 85.

In Round 2, the Builders did what they have done all season long, improve. The Builders improved to a team score of 335 on the second day. Austin Saylor once again led the team with a score of 80. David Grimm showed great improvement by shooting an 84 in the second round. Overall the Builders finished with a team score of 676, good enough to beat Eastern Mennonite and Marymount. The tournament was a great success and always a highlight at the end of the Builder season. The 2019 campaign has come to an end, but Coaches Joey and BJ Maben are geared up and ready to get started again in the fall.
