Builders Compete at Tom Kinder Memorial

IN BRIEF: The Builders finished 12th at the Tom Kinder Memorial Tournament in Bridgewater, VA this past week. The Builders faced tough competition this past week but had a strong showing defeating Virginia Wesleyan, Eastern Mennonite, Emory and Henry and a few other schools across the Commonwealth. McDaniel College took home the victory with an impressive team score of 584. 

The story of the day was Senior Jordan Plogger. After a +4 showing on the front nine, Plogger found his groove and shot 4 under on the back nine to finish with a 72 (E) in the 2nd round. Plogger started his strong back nine with an eagle on 11, followed by back to back birdies on 14 and 15. After shooting a 74 in round 1, Plogger finished with a total score of 146, good enough for 11th place out of 88 participants.

Banner Robson had a strong tournament as well, finishing his 2nd round with a score of 75. Robson shaved 5 strokes off of his 1st round score.
