Builders Conclude Season at VSGA State Championship

IN BRIEF: The Builders conclude a successful 2019 Fall Campaign that included an individual National runner up and an 8th place finish at the USCAA National Tournament. The Builders finished with a team average of 323 and a team low of 305.

This time around the Builders finished 15th against the Commonwealth's top golf programs at the VSGA State Championship. The team's top 5 golfers all finished within a few strokes of one another. Austin Saylor led the way with a total score of 160. Banner Robson and Nathan Gross were right behind him with a 161. Each golfer finished with a lower score then in round one and the team finished with a second round score of 316. The 316 score was 12 strokes lower than the 1st round.

The highlights of this season came at the Tom Kinder Memorial and the USCAA National Tournament. At the Tom Kinder, Jordan Plogger shot 4 under on the back nine with an eagle. At the USCAA National Tournament Austin Saylor finished 2nd overall. Coaches Joey and BJ Maben are proud of their team's success and are looking forward to the spring season.
