Cold Second Half Dooms Lady Builders In 51-44 Loss At Trinity

WASHINGTON, DC - The Apprentice School fell victim to a frigid second-half shooting and lost 51-44 on Saturday afternoon at Trinity University in Washington, D.C.

A first half that saw the Lady Builders jump out to a 29-19 lead with 1:52 remaining on a Monica Williams jumper turned as cold as the winter air in Washington.  Apprentice School (7-8) shot 4-of-30 from the floor in the second half (13.3%) as the host Tigers outscored the Lady Builders 27-13 in the period.

Freshman Serina Brandon was the lone scorer in double figures for Apprentice School with a season-high 11 points and senior Tyechia Cooke added nine points and shared team-high rebounding honors with freshman Valleri West with nine apiece.

Apprentice School now travels to Lincoln University for a 2 pm matchup with the Lady Lions next Saturday.
