ELIZABETH CITY, NC - The Apprentice School Lady Builders put up several flurries against the Vikings but fell 74-58 to host Elizabeth City State on Wednesday night in the Mackey Center.

ECSU lead throughout the game and held a 16-point advantage on a Whitney Stokes layup with 4:34 remaining in the opening half for a 34-18 lead.  The Lady Builders responded with a half closing 10-0 run capped by a pair of Rahshann Lewter 3-pointers to trail 34-28 at intermission.

That 3-point run continued into the first 65 seconds of the second half as Natasha Jones closed what turned into an 18-0 run with a pair of 3-pointers to tie the game 34-all with 18:55 remaining. ECSU answered with an 18-4 run over the next 6:10 to take a 58-44 advantage on a Christina Hager layup with 12:45 left.

Lewter paced the Lady Builders in scoring with 13 points and dished out five assists.  Freshman Jasmine Gerald had a season-high 12 points along with Jones while freshman Tyisha Battle added 11 for Apprentice School (4-6).
