Lady Builders Hold Off Pesky Bennett For 63-55 Win

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Apprentice School Lady Builders held off a pesky Bennett College squad on Saturday to take a 63-55 victory in Greensboro, N.C.  With the win the Lady Builders are now 13-6 on the season.

Apprentice School jumped out early and gained a 32-22 lead at halftime.  The Belles cut the deficit to two points late in the game, but strong play on the boards and free throws late from Brittanie Herriott helped ice the road win for the Lady Builders.

Tyisha Battle topped Apprentice School on the boards with 10, while Danita Whitaker added seven and Tamara Davis had six rebounds.  Jasmine Pringle dished out five assists, while Denise Hamilton and Arynn Easom had three each.  Easom was the leading scorer with 11 points.

Next up for the Lady Builders will be a road game on Wednesday night in Rocky Mount, N.C. against N.C. Wesleyan College.
