FARMINGTON, PA. – Three Apprentice School basketball players were recognized on Tuesday night by being named to the U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association All-American teams at the pre-tournament banquet for the USCAA Nationals.

Senior Isaih Harrison becomes a three-time USCAA All-American with his honor.  Harrison, a sheet metal apprentice from Abbeville, La., becomes the second three-time USCAA All-American for the men joining Charles Holiday who did that feat 2003-06.  He leads the team in scoring (21.3 ppg), rebounds (12.6 rpg), second in field goal percentage (53.7%) and had 18 double-doubles.  Harrison opened the year with a school record 25 rebounds against Mid-Atlantic Christian and is the all-time leading rebounder for the Builders with 947.

Junior Tevin Andrews became a two-time USCAA All-American on Tuesday night.  Andrews, a rigger apprentice from Brundidge, Al., is second on the team in scoring (16.5 ppg), rebounding (7.7 rpg), blocked shots (21) and third in field goal percentage (51.8%).  He scored in double figures in 19 of 22 games played and went for consecutive 30-point games against Vermont Tech (34), Valor Christian (37) and added 30 in a road win over Barber-Scotia College.

For the women, sophomore Courtney Collins was named to the USCAA Honorable Mention All-American team for the second straight year.  Collins, an electrician apprentice from Norfolk, Va., leads the team in scoring (13.7 ppg), second in field goal percentage (49.5%), third in rebounding (6.7 rpg), and in free throw percentage (67.4%).  She was a USCAA Player of the Week after averaging 24.5 points in two games at the Penn State Brandywine Tournament in December.  Collins had 24 points against the hosts a day after she had a career-best 25 points over Central Penn College.

The tournament opens on Wednesday with both Apprentice School teams playing early.  The Lady Builders, seeded #2 in their 16-team tournament, will open against 15th-seeded St. Mary Of The Woods in a 11:15 am game.  Immediately following will be the sixth-seeded men's team taking on #3-seed Lindenwood-Belleville at 1:15 pm.  Livestats of all games can be found on http://livestats.prestosports.com/uscaa.
