Blistering First Half Run Lifts Lady Builders Over Central Penn 77-30

MEDIA, PA. – The Apprentice School Lady Builders used a 27-0 run over a nearly 11 minute span of the first half and cruised to a 77-30 win over Central Penn College in the final day of the Penn State Brandywine Holiday Classic.

Central Penn took a 4-2 lead with 17:23 left on a Jasmine Robinson free throw, but a Bria Hill jumper 34 seconds later put the Lady Builders even at 4-all.  That started the Lady Builders on a 27-0 run that a Danita Whitaker jumper with 6:39 left ended with Apprentice School (5-2) up 29-4.

Whitaker was another double-double machine this game with 17 points and 17 rebounds to lead four in double figures for Apprentice School.  April McCoy just missed a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds.  Christina Licano had 12 points off the bench and Kenya Wilkerson joined the double figure club with 10.

The Lady Builders now go to Lynchburg for the Hill City Classic on Saturday, Dec. 15 when they face Bluefield College at 2 pm
