The Lady Builders jumped out to a 12-2 lead at the 15:34 mark on a jumper from Wilkerson.  Washington & Lee cut that deficit in half on three occasions over the next nearly five minutes as Samantha Sharman's jumper with 9:08 left brought the hosts to 18-13.

Apprentice School then turned up the defensive pressure and went on a 15-0 run over the ensuing 6:24 as a Collins layup with 2:44 left put the Lady Builders up 33-13.

In the second half, the hosts cut the deficit to 39-32 on a free throw from Shelbi Hendricks with 13:21 left.  Apprentice School pushed the lead back to 51-37 on a Wilkerson layup at the 9:09 mark.  W&L had a final run as Hendricks hit a pair of free throws with five seconds left to make it 64-61.
