Lady Builders Named Chesson Classic Champions

ELIZABETH CITY, NC -- The Apprentice School Lady Builders were declared the Chesson Classic champions on Saturday morning as today's opponent, Christendom College, returned home to northern Virginia on Friday night to avoid the wintry weather forecasted to hit Front Royal, Virginia on Saturday.

Sophomore Courtney White was named the Most Valuable Player of the event hosted by Mid-Atlantic Christian University.  White had a career-high 27 points and hauled in 10 rebounds in the 91-52 Apprentice School win over Central Penn College on Friday night.  Joining her on the All-Classic team was junior Kenya Wilkerson who has 12 points, 10 rebounds and six steals in the win.

Apprentice School now hosts Washington Adventist University on Senior Night at 6pm Tuesday at Apprentice Athletic Center.
