2014-15 Top 10 Moments - #8 Celebrating 20 Years Of Lady Builder Basketball

Game Recap

Our #8 moment of the 2014-15 athletic year will see the Lady Builders hit the list as they celebrated 20 years of women's basketball facing in-town rival Christopher Newport University in front of a packed house in November.

In front of a large crowd set to honor the 20 years of Apprentice School Women's Basketball, the Lady Builders took on the Captains for the first time since 2000 and went toe-to toe with the 18th ranked team in NCAA Division III.

Junior Kenya Wilkerson recorded a career-high 27 points which is the most points scored in a women's game in the Apprentice Athletic Center.  A Courtney White 3-pointer with 14 seconds left brought the hosts to 88-86, but that was the final margin.

A halftime ceremony not only honored the history of women's basketball with many former players in attendance, special recognition was made for the first Lady Builders team.  The current team along with the former players all enjoyed a post-game banquet.

Be on the lookout Friday for #7 on the 2014-15 Top 10 Moments countdown.
