Traeger named USCAA Women's Basketball Player of the Week

Ylexzis Traeger has been named the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) Women's Divison I Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending on December 22nd.

The sophomore sheet metal apprentice from Newport News, Va. averaged 19 points, eight rebounds, and a block in the Lady Builders' three games this past weekend against West Virginia Tech, Glenville State (W.Va.), and Bluefield State (W.Va.). In the Apprentice School's win over Bluefield State, Traeger shot 55% (10-of-18) from the floor to score a season-high 24 points and added 13 rebounds for a double-double.

The Lady Builders return to action on January 3rd when they host Bridgewater College (Va.) for a 3 p.m. contest. The Eagles are 4-5 following a 71-44 December 21st loss to the University of Scranton (Pa.) in the 2015 Las Vegas Hoopla Tournament.

Fans attending the Bridgewater game are reminded that they can park on the 3rd deck of the parking garage located on the corner of 31st Street and West Avenue, adjacent to the south side of the Apprentice School. Parking attendants will be located on the west side of the garage as well as around the perimeter of the school. Additional signage will be in place to lead you to the garage.
