Quanisha Bruce was named the USCAA Women's Division I Athlete of the Year on Tuesday night at the USCAA National Basketball Championships.  This is the second time a Lady Builder has won this honor.  Shanae Hilliard won the first year the award was presented.  

The emphasis for the Student-Athlete of the Year award is on academics and community involvement, not strictly on athletic performance.

Bruce, a cost estimator apprentice, from Richmond, VA has been a key leader on the court as well as in the shipyard and classroom throughout her apprenticeship.
