HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Apprentice School women's basketball team could not overcome a cold shooting night as they suffered a 69-41 setback in their season opener against Eastern Mennonite.
BEHIND THE BOX SCORE:
- Aquazia Jones led all scorers with 16 points from the floor. She added six rebounds and three steals.
- Newcomer Jordan Wilson added 11 points and a team-high seven rebounds.
- The Lady Builders shot 24% from the floor in the first half and trailed by 24 at the break.
- Eastern Mennonite dominated the boards with a 57-39 advantage.
- The Apprentice School forced 22 turnovers.
