LAURINBURG, NC - The Apprentice School wrestling team recorded a pair of decisions, a major decision and a forfeit on Tuesday night and fell on the road 24-16 at NCAA Division II St. Andrews Presbyterian College.

The home standing Knights opened with a pair of wins to take a 9-0 lead before senior Josh Flint recorded the first Builder victory via a 10-4 decision at 141 pounds to cut the deficit to 9-3.  Sophomore Charles Wood then took a forfeit victory at 149 pounds to tie the match 9-all.

From that point, the teams alternated wins over the next five weight classes with seniors Justin Gilliard (7-4 at 165 pounds) and Eric Lybarger (12-2 at 184) earning Builder points.  Lybarger's major decision victory cut the St. Andrews lead to 17-16, but the Knights got wins at the last two weights to take the 24-16 victory.

Apprentice School (1-1) will now travel to Baltimore, Md. to participate in the Retriever Duals on Saturday at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County.  In that event they'll face Towson University, the University of Delaware, Southern Virginia University and the hosts.
