Weekend Preview - Feb. 1-3

LADY BUILDERS START SIX-GAME ROAD SWING

On Saturday, the Lady Builders start a six-game road swing with a first-ever meeting against the Salem College Spirits in Winston-Salem, N.C.  The Lady Builders are 14-4 after defeating Southern Virginia University 64-52 on Monday night.  Salem enters the contest with a 16-3 record, winners of 16 in a row, after defeating Washington & Lee 62-53 on Thursday night.

The Lady Builders will then travel to Elizabeth City, NC on Tuesday to face first-time opponent Mid-Atlantic Christian University at 6 pm.

WRESTLERS HOST BUILDER DUALS ON SUNDAY

The wrestling team will take to the mat on Sunday morning in the Builder Duals starting at 9 am in the Apprentice Athletic Center at 39th street and Marshall Avenue.  Longwood University, James Madison University and East Carolina University are scheduled to join the Builders in a round-robin event.

Apprentice School (15-5) is coming in after a 4-2 weekend at the National Collegiate Wrestling Association Collegiate Cup Duals and a fourth-place finish.

The schedule for Sunday's matches:

9 am- Apprentice School v. East Carolina; Longwood v. James Madison

10:30 am – Apprentice School v. Longwood; East Carolina v. James Madison

12 pm – Apprentice School v. James Madison; Longwood v. East Carolina

MEN'S BASKETBALL RETURNS HOME MONDAY NIGHT FOR CHOWAN

The men's basketball team will return to on Monday night in the new Apprentice Gym when they tangle with NCAA Division II member Chowan University at 6 pm.  These teams met on November 16 in Murfreesboro, NC and the Builders scored a 97-91 overtime win.
