Head Coach, Fourth Season

In his first three seasons at the helm of the program, Micah led the Builders to a pair of runner-up finishes at the NCWA National Championships, and a fourth place finish despite withdrawing from the tournament three sessions early.  His squad has accrued a 31-16 dual record under his leadership, and finished as the runner-up at the National Duals twice.

As a student-athlete, Amrozowicz ended one of the best two-year runs in the modern era of Apprentice School wrestling finishing second at 133 pounds in 2007 and put together a two-year record of 84-18. He was also named the Outstanding Wrestler at the 2007 Virginia Duals as the Builders finished second in the American College Division. His freshman season he set what was then the school record for wins in a season as he finished 45-8.

He came to the Builders after two years at Virginia Military Institute where he was 47-29.  He took fourth at 133 pounds in the Southern Conference Championships as a sophomore in 2004.

In his ten seasons as an assistant coach, Amrozowicz helped coach over 30 National Collegiate Wrestling Association All-Americans.  As Head Coach, he has added an additional 20 All-Americans and 3 National Champions for Apprentice in only 3 seasons.

Micah is a 2009 Advanced graduate of the Apprentice School as a welder.  He has worked as a designer, planner, welding foreman and currently serves as a Construction Supervisor for new construction carriers.  He graduated in 2013 from Old Dominion University with a BS in Occupational Technical Studies as a Training Specialist.

Micah and his wife Tara have two children, Connolly and Carolina.
