IN BRIEF: Senior Rasheed Williams scored four second half touchdowns and ran for 313 yards as the homestanding Pioneers rallied from a 27-6 deficit to defeat The Apprentice School 44-30 in a U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association matchup Saturday.

ON THE FIELD

• The Builders used an early 83-yard run from Joseph Hodge to set up the first touchdown as Michael Roberts scored on a one-yard run with 8:54 left in the first quarter for a 7-0 lead.
• After each team traded a three-and-out series, Williams struck for his only first half touchdown ater breaking loose on a 68-yard run as the Pioneers missed the extra-point attempt to trail 7-6 with 5:16 left.
• The Builders forced a fumble on a punt that was recovered by Brandon Hampton to give them possession on the Alfred State 42 to start what turned into their next touchdown.  Roberts completed a 33-yard pass to Roderick Staton to set up the next pass completion to Trevon Johnson for a nine-yard score and a 14-6 lead with 2:$5 left in the first.
• Early in the second quarter, Hodge gave the visitors a 20-6 lead as he broke loose on a 58-yard scoring run with 10:17 left.
• After forcing a Pioneer punt, Staton took a snap and broke off a 66-yard scoring run with 6:32 remaining to give the Builders a 27-6 advantage.
• In the third quarter the Builders got first possession and used an Austin Wall 19-yard field goal to go up 30-13 with 9:35 left in the quarter.
• From there, Williams took over the scoring as he gained 203 yards and scored four times on runs of 69,3,48 and 19 yards to sandwich a 29-yard Keegan Phalen field goal.

LEADERS FOR BUILDERS

• Joseph Hodge ran 13 times for a career-best 188 yards on Saturday and one touchdown.  The Builders ran for 309 yards on 34 carries to average over nine yards per run.
• Michael Roberts, making his first start since week one, was 10-for-22 for 170 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions.  
• Trevon Johnson was the leading receiver with four catches for 38 yards and a touchdown, while Stan Smith caught three passes for a team-high 70 yards.
• Brandon Hampton topped the defense with eight tackles, one for a loss, one fumble recovery and a pass breakup.

OF NOTE - RECORD WATCH

• For the second time in three games, Hodge broke the school single-game average yards per carry record as he amassed 14.5 yards per carry on Saturday.  He set the previous mark against Catholic at 10.7 when he ran 13 times for 139 yards.
• With his 188 yards on the day, Hodge ties for eighth-best single-game rushing total equaling a 188-yard performance from Jermaine Bellamy on September 24, 1994 against Methodist.
• The 188-yards was the first time a Builder running back ran for over 150 yards in a game since Chris Virgin ran for 157 against George Mason on September 19, 2009.
• The team ran for the fifth most yards in a game since 2000 as they rushed for 309 yards.  The last time they broke 300 in a game was against George Mason University on September 19, 2009 when they ran for 344 yards.  
• The Builders averaged over eight yards per play and over nine yards per run which is the second most in a game in the last 15 years.  Both categories trail the September 19, 2009 game against George Mason when they averaged 10.7 yards per rush and 11.5 yards per play.

FOR THE FOES

• Williams ran for 313 yards on 27 carries as the rest of the team gained six yards on 18 carries.
• Jake Bahantka threw for 148 yards completing 11-of-25 passes and added one touchdown.  Erik Simmons was his favorite target with a game-high six receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown.
