The Apprentice School men's basketball team will take the floor on Wednesday afternoon at 5 pm in the 2013 U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Division I National Championships in Uniontown, PA on the campus of Penn State Fayette.

The Builders enter the tournament as the #6-seed in the eight-team men's bracket.   They'll face #3-seed Daemen College (24-5) from New York at 5 pm.  A win will put them into the national semifinals for the second straight year and a 10 pm contest on Thursday night against either #2-seed Ave Maria University (FL) or #7-seed Victory University (TN).  If the Builders lose, they'll play the loser of Ave Maria-Victory at 10 am on Thursday in a consolation game.

Daemen is third in the USCAA in scoring averaging 90.8 points per game and leads the eight teams that are in the tournament in that category.  They hit 49.1% from the field, 33.5% from 3-point range and 66.2% from the foul line.  Junior guard Casey Sheehan leads the team in scoring at 15.9 points per game, followed by sophomore Gerald Beverly (14.4 ppg), senior Jim Regan (13.7 ppg) and sophomore Jordan Greene (11.1 ppg).

Apprentice School (16-9) is headed by two-time USCAA All-American Tevin Andrews averaging just under a double-double per game with 18.1 points and 9.8 rebounds.  The Pike County, Alabama native is hitting just under 41% from 3-point range and also leads the team in steals with 42.  Sophomore Johnnie Ferebee follows him in scoring at 9.9 ppg and has 70 assists in 14 games.  Fellow sophomore Lavontae Thomas is next at 9.6 points per game and leads in assists with 121.
