UNIONTOWN, PA. – Senior Tevin Andrews had 20 points and 14 rebounds as the Apprentice School fell victim to a 16-0 run by Daemen early in the first half and fell 81-67 to the Wildcats in the first round of the 2013 U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Division I National Championships.

The Builders opened the game strong against the high-octane Wildcats and held a 12-8 lead on a pair of Johnnie Ferebee free throws with 14:43 left.  Daemen then ripped off the next 16 points to lead 24-12 on a 3-pointer by Jordan Greene with 10:44 left.

In the second half the lead grew to 28 points on a Gerald Beverly dunk with 9:05 left to go up 68-40.  Apprentice School cut the lead down to 75-62 on a pair of Lavontae Thomas free throws with 1:17 left.  Daemen closed the deal with six free throws in the last 67 seconds to ice the win.

Apprentice School returns to action, and will close out its season, on Thursday morning at 10 am against Victory University of Memphis, Tennessee.
