Apprentice Golf Releases 2021 Fall Schedule

Newport News, VA – The Apprentice School’s Head Golf Coach, Joey Maben, has announced the release of the 2021 Fall Men’s Golf Schedule, which features 5 home matches and a road trip to Danville, KY.  This fall’s schedule also features the opportunity for the Builders golfers to compete in the USCAA Nationals in State College, PA.

“We are looking forward to competing and getting back on the course”, said Coach Maben.  “The team is back at Sleepy Hole in Suffolk and I am thankful to Golf Course Manager, JT Belcher, for working with us.  This year we are led by returning Senior David Grimm and Freshman Ethan Flanders, from Scott County High School in Georgetown, KY.  In addition, we are excited to have space for the team to work indoors with our new launch monitor, which will help us as we prepare for this exciting schedule.”

Apprentice will begin the season on 8/30 and 8/31, as they host Virginia Wesleyan University, Mid-Atlantic Christian University and Campbellsville University-Harrodsburg, at the Sleepy Hole Golf Course.  The Builders will then visit Campbellsville University-Harrodsburg, in Danville, KY, on 9/10, for their only road match of the season.  The match will be played at the Old Bridge Golf Club and both teams will play 36 holes.

Virginia Wesleyan University will visit Apprentice on 9/15 and 9/16 at Sleepy Hole Golf course, followed by Chowan University on 9/27.  The match against Chowan, will conclude the Fall Regular Season and the Builders will then prepare for the USCAA Nationals, which will be held in State College, PA on 10/11 and 10/12.
