Athletic Training Clinic Locations: The Apprentice School Sports Medicine staff utilizes three clinic locations throughout the year, dependent on staffing and event coverage needs. These locations include Building 601 at the Apprentice Athletic Center, Building 1919 at The Apprentice School Gymnasium and War Memorial Stadium. The clinic will open two hours prior to the start of all home competitions for visiting teams to use. Water, ice and cups will be set up for visiting team use during contests.
Visiting Teams: Please notify our Sports Medicine staff if your team will not be traveling with a certified athletic trainer so that we can better accommodate your needs. Visiting teams traveling without a certified athletic trainer will have access to ice and hydrocollator packs within the clinic. A visiting certified athletic trainer will have access to ultrasound, electrical stimulation and whirlpool for treatments as needed. Athletic training students must provide a signed prescription form from a physician and/or certified athletic trainer prior to modality use. The Apprentice School Sports Medicine staff will not administer ultrasound, electrical stimulation or whirlpool to visiting student-athletes due to staff constraints. All visiting teams traveling to the Apprentice School must provide their own taping supplies. Emergency supplies, including crutches, splints, AED, etc., will be made available.
