Marion Moore Signs Professional Contract With Virginia Neptunes

NEWPORT NEWS - Former Apprentice School men's basketball player Marion Moore has signed a professional basketball contract to play for the Virginia Neptunes in the 2023 season, the team announced earlier this week.

"We are excited that Marion is taking another step in his basketball career," said head men's basketball coach Evan Kee. "He had a tremendous career here as a two-time USCAA All-American and 1000 point scorer. I knew from day one that he had goals that included playing at the highest level possible, and we all look forward to following his first professional season."

During his career as a Builder, Moore averaged 14.3 points per contest, shooting nearly 52 percent from the floor over his four seasons. He pulled down almost 7.5 rebounds per game as well.

The Virginia Neptunes Basketball Club is a professional basketball team founded in 2022 and is based in Hampton, Virginia. Adrian "A.J." Justis and Derek Floyd had the dream to create and bring a professional basketball team to the Hampton Roads Community to provide a platform for athletes to advance their careers and play at the highest levels of basketball.
