Baseball Bumps Up One Slot In USCAA Coaches Poll

Baseball Bumps Up One Slot In USCAA Coaches Poll

The fourth U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association Baseball Coaches Top 20 was released on Monday afternoon and the Apprentice School (22-14) moved up one spot in the rankings to fourth.

After a stretch of games that saw the Builders go 3-1 with wins over Rappahannock CC, Thomas Nelson CC and NCAA Division II Virginia State while losing a tough 5-3 decision at NCAA Division III third-ranked Christopher Newport, the Builders moved up one slot to trail Spalding University (KY), Penn State Greater Allegheny and Rochester College (MI).

This week will be another busy one for the Builders as they host three games.  Tomorrow they'll face cross-water rival Virginia Wesleyan College in a 4 pm start at War Memorial Stadium.  On Thursday, they'll face cross-town rival Christopher Newport University also in a 4 pm start.  They'll close the week on Friday facing Danville CC in a 5 pm start.
