BASEBALL FINISHES FOURTH IN FINAL USCAA COACHES POLL

The final U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association Coaches Poll was announced on Monday afternoon and the Apprentice School ended the regular season ranked fourth in the poll top 20.

Spalding University (KY) held onto the top spot followed by Penn State Greater Allegheny, the University of Dallas (TX) are ahead of the Builders and Rochester College (MI) round out the top five.

The Apprentice School (25-16) closes out its regular season on Tuesday night with Senior Night at 5 pm against Thomas Nelson CC at War Memorial Stadium. 

NATIONAL TOURNAMENT SEEDINGS ANNOUNCED – BUILDERS #2

Also on Monday afternoon, the seedings for the 2012 U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association Small College World Series were announced for the upcoming national championships.

The Apprentice School earned the second-seed in the 10-team affair starting on May 7 at Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield, Illinois.  With a field that has eight of the top ten in the final USCAA Coaches Poll, Spalding University is the top-seed.  After the Apprentice School is Rochester College (MI), Clark State CC (OH) and the 2011 runner-ups Southern Virginia University to round out the top five seeds.

Game times and pairings are to be announced by the USCAA National Office on Tuesday.
