The Apprentice School football team returns home on Saturday to host Bridgewater College in the 16th annual Trades Day game.  This year's contest will also serve as Homecoming for the Apprentice School with a kickoff set for 1 pm.

Apprentice School comes into the game with a 1-3 record after losing last week at Gallaudet University 35-7.  Bridgewater enters the game with a 3-0 mark after defeating Shenandoah 17-14 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference opener for the Eagles.

Quick Hits - Builders vs. Eagles

• Today’s game with Bridgewater is the 29th meeting all-time between the schools as the series is tied 14-14.  Last year’s win by Bridgewater snapped a four-game Apprentice School winning streak over the Eagles
• The series with Bridgewater is the second-longest in terms of games played ever for the Builders.  Only the series with Randolph-Macon (31 games) is ahead in terms of games played in the 93-year Apprentice School football history.
• Apprentice School has faced several members of the ODAC in our 93-year history: Catholic (1-7), Emory & Henry (4-4), Guilford (4-7-1), Hampden-Sydney (3-8), Randolph-Macon (12-18-1), Roanoke (2-5/doesn't have football now), Shenandoah (3-2-1)
• The last time the Builders won on Trades Day was in 2007 when they defeated Morrisville State (NY) 50-21.  They won on Homecoming last year when the Builders defeated Greensboro 9-7.
