LANCASTER, Pa. - The Apprentice School football team improved to 4-0 on the season with a 27-13 win over Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology Saturday afternoon.

The Builders have won four straight for the first time since the final four games of the 2006 season.

Mason Tatum got Apprentice on the board in the first quarter as he found Leland Girdy on a 26-yard pass with 6:26 left in the period. After forcing a fumble on the ensuing kickoff, the Builders found the endzone again just 90 seconds later on a pass from Tatum to Lawrence Reed, giving the visitors a 14-0 lead.

Jeremiah Morgan finished off the first period by knocking through a 41-yard field goal before the Builders added on early in the second quarter on a connection from Tatum to Ricardo Corpus, stretching the lead to 24-0. Morgan hit his second field goal of the day at the halftime horn, this time from 34 yards away to give Apprentice a 27-0 halftime score.

The Bulldogs answered in the second half, starting with a pick six from Tyrese Washington late in the third quarter before Tahree Fuller caught a 29-yard pass from Rhyel Miles-Eubanks early in the fourth to get to the 27-13 final score.

Totaling 307 yards of offense, Tatum threw for 233 yards on 19-of-43 passing with three touchdowns and the one interception. His most popular target Saturday was Ta'Kevion Petty, who reeled in six catches for 104 yards.

Looking to win five straight for the first time since 1993, the Builders will head to NCAA Division II Bluefield State Saturday afternoon for a 1 p.m. kickoff. The game will serve as the Big Blue's Homecoming.
