Men's Basketball Falls to NC Wesleyan

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. - The Apprentice School men's basketball team fell in a non-conference matchup Tuesday night to NC Wesleyan on the road, 84-55.

After a 4-4 start, the Bishops rattled off eight straight points to take the lead. The Builders clawed back to trim the lead to 18-17, but again NC Wesleyan went on a run, this time a 19-9 stretch to end the half and take an 11-point lead into the break.

The second half was all Bishops as the home team would outscore Apprentice 47-29 over the final 20 minutes to earn the win.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

  • Mikel Miller was the only Builder in double figures with 10 points. Kurij Harrell added nine.
  • While both teams forced 12 turnovers, Apprentice was only able to turn those into four points, while the Bishops added 17 points off of the Builder turnovers.
  • NC Wesleyan was 9-for-21 from three point range.
