Kee Headlines Men's Basketball USCAA National Award Winners

RICHMOND, Va. - The Apprentice School head men's basketball coach Evan Kee was named the USCAA Division I Men's Basketball Coach of the Year, the national office announced Sunday afternoon.

Additionally, Shawn Eley, Karree Smith and Jayden Eason earned All-American honors, while Eley and Clifton Goode were named All-Academic.

Kee has led the Builders to the No. 3 seed in this week's national tournament, amassing the best winning percentage in nearly two decades. The Builders were a perfect 11-0 in New South Athletic Conference play this year, winning both the regular season and tournament championships as well.

A first team honoree, Eley has led the Builders in scoring at 14.8 points per game, shooting over 50 percent from the floor. He also has a team best 7.5 rebounds per contest this season.

A second team honoree, Smith has the second best scoring average on the team with 11.8 points per outing, while Eason, an honorable mention, has 8.2 points and 5.9 rebounds a game this year.

The Builders will be in action tomorrow at 4 p.m. at Richard Bland College against MUW.
