Lady Builders Pick Up Third Win Of The Season Over Washington Adventist

LOCATION: Newport News, Va- The Apprentice School Athletic Facility

IN BRIEF: The Lady Builders jumped out to a 8 point lead after the 1st quarter and held on to a 4 point lead at halftime.  Led by Aquazia Jones and Ylexzis Traeger, the team led by as much as 10 points only to see Washington Adventist pull within 2 points with :32 seconds left in the fourth quarter.  The Lady Builders were able to hold off Washington Adventist with clutch made free throws in the closing seconds of the game.   

ON THE COURT:

  • Aquazia Jones scored 17 points off the bench
  • Ylexzis Traeger had 16 points and 6 rebounds
  • Quanisha Bruce pulled in 17 rebounds
  • Courtney White added 14 points and was 11-15 from the foul line
  • The Lady Builders broke the all-time Apprentice School record for free throws made (31). The previous record was 30, set in 2012 vs. Penn State Fayette
