Four Women's Basketball Players Named NSAC All-Conference

NEWPORT NEWS - Four Apprentice School women's basketball players were named to the New South Athletic Conference All-Conference team Monday, the league office announced.

Jada Bryant was the lone Builder on the first team after averaging a double-double this season. Putting up 15.8 points and 12.1 rebounds per contest, Bryant has recorded eight double-doubles on the year, including six straight heading into this weekend's conference tournament.

Amaya Ray earned second team honors with one of the more balanced stat lines in the nation. Ray is averaging 12.2 points, 7.1 boards, 5.6 assists and 3.9 steals per game this season.

Two Builders earned honorable mention status with Nyla Jackson and Ashawnti Williams representing Apprentice on the list.

The Builders will be in action Saturday against third-seeded Christendom at 2 p.m. at the Apprentice Athletic Center in the semifinals of the conference tournament.
